What is Neutralisation?

We offer a specialised treatment series tailored for individuals with cool or melanin-rich lips, which may exhibit shades of brown, purple, or blue. Our objective is to utilise colour theory techniques to achieve a more uniform lip appearance.

To counteract pigmentation variations on the lips, our initial session involves the application of a warm colour. This helps in healing and correcting any darker areas. Once your lips have fully healed, we can proceed with the application of your desired colour during the touch-up session.

The number of sessions required varies depending on the degree of hyperpigmentation, with a minimum of two sessions typically needed. It's important to note that this is a semi-permanent procedure, and the results will gradually fade over time. Regular touch-up sessions are necessary to maintain the desired outcome.

Please be aware that the colour will appear up to 60% lighter than the immediate post-treatment result. This adjustment is made to ensure the pigment heals effectively.

It is common for clients undergoing neutralisation to experience temporary hyperpigmentation for 1-2 weeks following the appointment, with gradual lightening occurring from 4 weeks post-lip blush treatment.
